Visit to our store / Counseling

We will visit our salon and listen to the customer's needs in detail.
We will make a sample and apply it to your skin until the actual size and appearance of the sample matches the image you have in mind.
The artist will thoroughly accompany the customer for counseling until the actual size and appearance of the sample matches the customer's image. The average consultation time is about 2 hours, so please allow plenty of time for your visit.

Fixing the date of treatment

At the end of the counseling session, a schedule is set up with the artist in charge to ensure the safe completion of the procedure. There are two patterns of treatment: "same-day treatment" and "later-day treatment," but which one will be used depends on the details of the design.

Treatment: Aftercare

The actual treatment is performed. Since it may be completed in one session or may take multiple sessions, we will provide you with care films/creams and an aftercare guide for each session as needed. Our staff will take care of you until there is no longer any need for anxiety, so you can leave with peace of mind.

Precautions

For a beautiful tattoo that will last a lifetime.

from the day before to the day of the procedure

1. Avoid excessive sun exposure.

If your skin is irritated or inflamed by sunburn, we will not be able to perform the tattoo.

2. please get a good night's sleep and rest well the day before.

Tattooing is a strenuous procedure. If you do not get enough sleep, you may feel pain more easily, so please make sure you are well rested and in good physical condition the day before.

3. Please do not drink alcohol the day before or the day of your session.

If you have consumed alcohol, the ink will not be able to penetrate the ink very well. It may also cause the ink to bleed or disappear after the treatment. Please refrain from drinking alcohol the day before and the day of the procedure.

4. please shower and bathe on the day of the procedure.

After the treatment on the day of the procedure, we ask that you refrain from having water come in contact with the treated area to promote healing, so please shower or bathe before coming in.

5. Please finish your meal before coming to the clinic on the same day.

You may feel pain more easily on an empty stomach. In order to reduce the burden on your body during the procedure, please eat a full meal before coming to the salon.

6. Please inform us if you are taking a doctor's prescription.

If you have a doctor's prescription, or if you are not feeling well on the day of the treatment, please consult with us.

7. Please come dressed comfortably or wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.

If the ink gets on your clothes, it will not come off. Depending on the area to be treated, we recommend that women wear a tank top or tube top.

on the day of the procedure and thereafter

1. Drinking alcohol

Please refrain from drinking alcohol within 2 to 3 days of the procedure. Alcohol ingested by the body can cause blotting and loss of ink!

2. Strenuous exercise

Avoid strenuous exercise or muscle training for 2-3 days after the procedure. Your tattoo is delicate and may become inflamed immediately after the procedure.

3. bathing / hot springs / swimming pools / entering the sea or river

Do not bathe in the bathtub or hot spring, or enter the pool or ocean until the area has completely healed. Bacteria, chemicals, mud, etc. may cause inflammation of the tattoo. Also, tattoos that have not fully healed may cause the ink to seep through the skin if exposed to large amounts of water.

4. sauna

If the treated area has not fully healed, the humidity of the sauna may cause the tattoo ink to fly off the skin.

5. Sunburn

Avoid direct sunlight or tanning in a sun salon until the treated area has fully recovered. Strong UV rays can cause the color of the tattoo to fade. Even after the tattoo has completely healed, it is recommended to wear a sunscreen with at least SPF 30.

Aftercare

It is very important to take care of your tattoo after it has healed.
Please follow the precautions and aftercare instructions below to ensure that your tattoo becomes a work of art that will last a lifetime.

Effects of Aftercare

Immediately after the procedure, the tattoo is a small dot of pigment in the scar. With proper aftercare, the tattooed area can be quickly healed and the tattoo can be finished beautifully with good coloration.。

At TATTOO STUDIO Ray's, we use a method called "Moist Healing Care" for aftercare.
This method is a healing method that utilizes body fluids secreted from the body (wound).
Body fluids contain "components that promote cell growth and regeneration," and by applying an appropriate amount of Vaseline to the wound to maintain a moist environment, these components can be retained in the affected area.

In other words, Moist Healing Care is a method that can be expected to regenerate the epidermis more quickly and cleanly by maximizing the natural healing power of the human body.

What you need to prepare

  • Vaseline (Propet or Sun White for those with delicate skin)
  • Unscented antibacterial soap (or mildly acidic body soap)
  • Clean towel

Aftercare Procedures

  1. After the tattoo has been completed, the artist will disinfect and sterilize the area to be treated and apply a special protective sheet to the tattoo. This sheet should never be removed on the day of the tattoo.
Please do not take a bath or otherwise allow the affected area to come in contact with water. Drinking alcohol is also strictly prohibited. Please go to bed as it is during sleep that skin tissue regeneration is activated.
  2. The next morning, carefully peel off the protective sheet. (The tape holding it in place is very adhesive, so please remove it slowly.) There is no need to apply the protective sheet thereafter. It will have the opposite effect.
  3. Gently wash the area to remove any excess ink and fluid from the tattoo. Lather the area with lukewarm water and unscented antibacterial soap or mildly acidic body wash and gently stroke the area.
  4. When you have finished washing the tattoo, gently wipe off the water with a towel. At this time, never rub the treatment area strongly. Doing so may cause irritation.
Once the excess water is removed from the area, allow the tattoo to air dry.
  5. Apply Vaseline to the tattoo in a thin, spreadable layer. Be careful not to apply too much at one time. Over-application will increase the chance of bacterial growth, as the tattoo (skin) will not be able to breathe.
Reapply Vaseline to the tattoo multiple times a day (at least 3-5 times). The key to a clean tattoo is to maintain a moisturized environment. In other words, don't let it dry out!
We recommend that you continue applying it for about 1~2 months from the day you finish the procedure. Also, although the skin will itch as it regenerates, DO NOT SCRATCH! Forcibly peeling off the scab (thin skin) is also strictly prohibited. Wait for it to peel off naturally. Itching can be somewhat alleviated by cooling the area to be treated, so please try it.

Sanitation

In order to ensure the safety and security of both the client and the artist
TATTOO STUDIO Ray's maintains strict hygiene control.

  • We maintain a clean environment by paying the utmost attention to hygiene control against viral infections (HIV, MRSA, HBV, HCV, E. coli, etc.), bacteria, and other pathogens and germs.
  • All ink, gloves, masks, needles, sheets, etc. are disposable.
  • Equipment that may come in contact with a client's skin or bodily fluids and that cannot be disposed of (treatment tables, lights, etc.) are completely protected with plastic wrap and sheets, and these protective materials are disposed of after use.
  • After each treatment, we sterilize all equipment and materials (tables, chairs, lights, other equipment, and their surroundings) that the artist and client may or may not have come into contact with, using isopropanol disinfectant solution.
  • Stainless steel tubes, grips, and other instruments are sterilized and cleaned with a special detergent for tattoo instruments and an ultrasonic cleaner (Sonic Cleaner), and then visually brushed with a medicated soap containing triclosan, a disinfectant. Finally, the instruments are sterilized in a high-pressure steam sterilizer (autoclave).
  • After sterilization and drying, each instrument is sealed in a sterilization pack and stored in a UV sterilization storage (Stearizer).
